For a number of years, I've been promoting computer coding with my students. In 2005, I started with Squeak and Python. In 2006-2014, I stuck with Scratch 1.4 and then Scratch 2.0.
Then, this past year, I dove into Vizwik.com and my students had a great time developing phone apps using a drag-and-drop interface. It was a bit tricky at first, by my tutorial videos seemed to help. I highly recommend Vizwik for teachers looking to teach coding where students have moved on from Scratch.

And for years I've been recommending Python, while I haven't taken my own students there (since my "calculator" disaster in 2005). I have recommended a number of teachers send their students to inventwithpython.com and they claim the students really enjoyed these activities.
