Then, this past year, I dove into Vizwik.com and my students had a great time developing phone apps using a drag-and-drop interface. It was a bit tricky at first, by my tutorial videos seemed to help. I highly recommend Vizwik for teachers looking to teach coding where students have moved on from Scratch.

And for years I've been recommending Python, while I haven't taken my own students there (since my "calculator" disaster in 2005). I have recommended a number of teachers send their students to inventwithpython.com and they claim the students really enjoyed these activities.
Now, it's time for me to bring text coding back into my studies. to branch out
