Independent Final Project

Students must then submit a proposal for their final independent project.  The proposal will be 1-page (details to follow).​

Final Labs to Complete (Mr. Circuit Book 2):
  • Lab 10 - 555 Timer (know it or do it)
  • Lab 11 - Binary Counter (includes 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,a,b,c,d,e,f)
  • Lab 12 - Decade Counter (same as Lab 11, but change Pin 9 and only counts to 9)
  • Lab 14 - 7-Segment Display (quick tester lab)
  • Lab 15 - 7-Segment Decoder
  • Lab 16 - Digital Counter (uses the 7-Segment Display)
  • Lab 18 - Multiplexer/Demultiplexer (BONUS)
  • Lab 20 - Logic Probe (BONUS)
  • Lab 26 - On/Off Touch Switch
  • Lab 28 - Photo Counter (choose either lab 28 or 29)
  • Lab 29 - Random Number Generator (choose either lab 28 or 29)

Resistance Calculations
1st band = Number
2nd band = Number
3rd band = # of 0's (exponent)
4th band = tolerance - gold (5%) or silver (10%)

Colour Codes
0 Black
1 Brown
2 Red
3 Orange
4 Yellow
5 Green
6 Blue
7 Violet
8 Grey
9 White

Examples:
Brown Black Red Gold = 1000 Ω +/- 5%
Yellow Violet Orange Gold = 47000 Ω = 47KΩ +/- 5%
